Perform Osteopathy

A holistic, whole-body approach to healthcare

Perform Osteopathy has been designed to provide the best of both worlds for injury treatment and rehabilitation: a clinical space for hands-on treatment and a spacious studio to enable rehabilitation exercise programmes under expert supervision.

Treatment usually consists of a combination of osteopathic hands-on treatment and rehabilitation exercises and advice – not only allowing the initial problem to heal but making recurrence less likely. We run longer than average appointment times as standard, so your initial appointment will start with a thorough discussion of the issues you’re having and full examination before the problem is explained and treatment options discussed – every patient is different so there are no one-size-fits-all treatment approaches!

Annette Weir - BSc(Hons) OstMed, PGDip

Annette qualified from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 with a BSc(Hons) degree in Osteopathic Medicine, and has been in private practice since then. Annette holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Osteopathic Sports Care, along with Pilates Teaching qualifications from the Pilates Foundation and APPI, medical acupuncture training from the British Medical Acupuncture Society, cranial and biodynamic osteopathic training in the UK and USA, certification in the Functional Movement Systems approach, and specialist training in EDS and hypermobility disorders. This wide range of training means that the best approach for each patient can be specifically selected, for a wide range of patients of all ages, from elite international athletes to those struggling with long term health issues.

Annette is passionate about helping people to regain confidence in their bodies, especially when long-term conditions have left people stuck in a rut and feeling that exercise and movement is not possible for them.

Annette’s main exercise activity these days is chasing after a toddler, but she takes any chance to keep up her personal Pilates and movement practice.

Leah Madden - BHSc/BAppS (Osteo)

Leah is an Australian trained Osteopath who studied at RMIT in Melbourne; her interest in science and anatomy led her to osteopathy.

After graduating, Leah moved all over the east coast of Australia working as an osteopath in private practice. She has worked with some interesting occupations including cane farmers and crocodile handlers, to desk workers and students and everyone in between. She has experience working with patients with ADHD & ASD as well as hypermobility & EDS, and she understands the different challenges associated with hands-on treatment that these groups experience.

Leah strives to do her best for every patient and provide an individualised treatment plan that helps patients achieve their goals, no matter how big or small they may be.

Leah loves to travel and it was the reason she made the move to Scotland.
