Neck pain is hard to ignore – it’s even worked its way into our language as the proverbial ‘pain in the neck’ and although it’s very common (between 10% and 20% of people experience neck pain each year) it can have a multitide of different causes. Sometimes neck pain may come along with headaches, or nerve symptoms into the shoulders and arms – this usually needs a different approach than a common stiff achey neck.
People often tell us that the pain interferes with their ability to concentrate at work, or to drive comfortably, or to enjoy their sports and hobbies (whether that’s climbing or knitting!). Your neck pain might be due to working posture, an injury or car accident, or maybe you just don’t know: in all these cases we can help you understand what is going on with your unique situation and what options there are to manage it. As well as gentle hands-on treatment to ease the pain, we offer personalised specific advice and rehabilitation to help your neck and posture be more comfortable in the long term, improve your range of motion and get back to enjoying your life while reducing the risk of future episodes of pain and injury.
