Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates with a fully qualified osteopath is the ideal option if you have significant medical conditions and want the reassurance of clinical knowledge and experience in your Pilates sessions; often a few sessions of clinical Pilates are the ideal foundation to join a more general class with confidence in your technique and abilities.  A limited number of clinical Pilates sessions are available at the studio.

Matwork Pilates

Mat Pilates classes are a safe, fun & effective way to strengthen your body, improve your balance and posture under expert tuition.  All our associate Pilates teachers are qualified with the Pilates Foundation so have in-depth training (not always the case with gym-based Pilates classes) and regularly take part in CPD to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.

In a matwork class, everyone follows the same set of exercises but the teachers will give individually specific variations appropriate for your body to make sure you are getting the most out of class.

Equipment Pilates

Studio or equipment Pilates sessions are a fantastic way to work on your priorities for your body – whether that be rehab of a particular area/injury, improving your posture, developing strength or flexibility or just exploring novel and challenging movements.  Our studio has a wide variety of equipment including reformers, cadillac, ladder barrel, wunda chair, split pedal chair, MOTR and barrels as well as small equipment balls etc – so there is endless variety and challenge possible!  Our studio teachers are all qualified with the Pilates Foundation, one of the longest training programmes in the UK and have received extensive training in working with clients with medical conditions and injury rehabilitation.  This means that as well as making exercises more challenging, the equipment can be used to adapt exercises for those with physical limitations so you can effectively exercise whatever your situation.

In a group studio session, there will be several clients present but everyone follows their own individualised set of exercises, with the teacher on hand to give specific guidance and corrections.

Individual studio sessions are also available if you are more comfortable working 1:1, have complex requirements, or just would like more individual attention.
